Analytical Writing Assessment & Integrated Reasoning Section
You will be asked to analyze an argument. The argument may be based on a variety of topics. You do not need specific subject knowledge, just the ability to think and write logically.
During the writing assessment you will not be asked to present your own opinions about the argument’s content, rather about how effective the argument is. This will be a test of your ability to understand and critique another’s argument.

The GMAT’s new Integrated Reasoning section was created to measure your ability to utilize information presented in graphics, text, and numbers.
You will be required to combine and manipulate information to solve complex problems that depend on information from one or more sources.
